Tomato Sauce Meatballs

Ingredients:
For the meatballs, you will need 750 g of minced mutton or lamb, 1 clove of garlic (crushed), 1 small grated onion, 2 thick slices of white bread, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon of mixed spices, 1 tablespoon of chopped parsley, and salt and pepper to taste.
For the sauce, you will need 1½ cups of chopped peeled tomatoes, 1 medium finely chopped onion, 1 small finely chopped green pepper, ½ teaspoon of sugar, salt and pepper to taste, ½ cup of water, 2 tablespoons of flour, and oil for frying.
Method:
Begin by mixing the minced meat with the garlic and grated onion. Soak the bread in cold water, squeeze it dry, and crumble it into the meat mixture. Add the egg, spices, parsley, and seasoning, then blend thoroughly until you get a smooth paste.
With wet hands, shape spoonfuls of the mixture into balls and gently roll them in flour. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the meatballs until browned on all sides. Remove them from the pan and drain excess oil.
For the sauce, combine the tomatoes, onion, green pepper, sugar, salt, pepper, and water in a saucepan and simmer for 5 minutes. Add the fried meatballs and simmer gently for 45 minutes to 1 hour. Serve hot with rice.
